How long does my hair have to be to have extensions applied?
Your natural hair must be at least 5-6” at the nape of the neck, sides and back for natural looking extensions.
Will extensions damage my hair?
The extensions should not damage your natural hair if they are cared for as recommended by Hairdreams and your fawn & fox stylist. Removal of extensions is a gentle process done by your stylist using a mild solution to loosen bonds from your hair.
How long will my extensions last?
Hairdreams extensions will last between 3 and 6 months depending on your level of care and upkeep, use of recommended products, and regular “check-ups” with your stylist. Hairdreams “Quikkies” are designed to last 3 to 6 weeks.
How much will my extensions cost?
There is no set price for extensions, and price cannot be determined over the phone. This is due to the fact that extensions are customized for each individual client depending on the length, amount, color and desired effect of the extensions for your specific hair type. We’re happy to schedule the required fifteen minute extension consultation, a free service, in order for your stylist to determine the type of extensions you need and give you a personalized price quote.
What kind of hair is used to create Hairdreams extensions?
Hairdreams uses 100% European hair or top quality Indian hair. Your stylist will determine which hair extension type is right for your hair depending on your natural color, wave and texture.
How is the hair applied?
Hairdreams extensions are bonded, meaning the ends of each strand of hair are wrapped in a thermoplast bond that is attached to your hair using a heat process. The bonds are about the size of a grain of rice.
Can I still color and style my hair as usual?
Yes, you can still enjoy styling and coloring your hair as you normally would with a couple of simple considerations. You can style your hair as usual but you must use Hairdreams products, which are included with your hair extensions service. You can also curl or straighten your hair as you normally would as long as you take care not to get close to the bonds with the straightening or curling iron. You can also still color your natural hair. However, hair color must be applied by your stylist as it is important that color products do not touch the extension bonds.
